Record 03 / Diamond micron powder
Specification record · values confirmed at quotation
Diamond micron powder
Powder specified by the finish you need.
Dry diamond material for lapping, polishing and processes where you control the suspension. We match the grade band to the surface result you measure, then confirm the details against the partner factory’s current datasheet.
01 / Grade bands
Four bands to frame the request.
The band narrows the range; the datasheet closes it. Select a band to see what it is used for and what we need to quote it.
What it is for
Final finishing and fine lapping, where the surface result is the constraint and a finer grade is worth the slower cut.
What to send
The substrate, the finish you measure, the machine or process, and any current grade or datasheet you already use.
Documentation focus
The grade band, the characterisation method stated on the datasheet, and the batch record available from the partner factory.
What it is for
General precision finishing and polishing, where surface finish and removal need to be balanced.
What to send
The substrate, target finish, step in your process, and any current grade or datasheet you already use.
Documentation focus
Datasheet characterisation and the batch documentation the partner factory can provide, coordinated before dispatch.
What it is for
Intermediate lapping and stock removal, ahead of the finer finishing step.
What to send
How much material the step has to remove, the finish you are starting from, and the process that follows it.
Documentation focus
Grade designation, available batch documents and packaging format, confirmed per order.
What it is for
Heavier removal, lapping support or a coarser cut before finer stages.
What to send
The operation, material, removal the step needs to achieve and the process that follows.
Documentation focus
The grade band, packaging, labelling and documentation set, confirmed with the partner factory.
Band labels are illustrative designators used to frame the conversation. They do not state particle-size values. The partner factory’s designation system, tolerances and measured values are confirmed at quotation.
02 / What to match
Five things decide the grade.
The same powder can suit one step and miss another. These are the inputs that move the recommendation.
Target surface finish
The result you measure, and the method you use to measure it. A finish target stated in your own terms is more useful than a general description.
Material and substrate
Carbide, steel, technical ceramic, glass or another material. Hardness and brittleness change how the powder behaves at the interface.
Process step
Stock removal, intermediate lapping or final polishing. The grade has to fit the step before it as well as the result you want.
Carrier and compatibility
What the powder will be dispersed in, and how the part is cleaned afterwards. Compatibility is confirmed before a sample is proposed.
Documentation needs
The datasheet fields, batch records or third-party inspection you require. Naming them early changes what we ask the partner factory to provide.
03 / Spec fields
Where the numbers actually come from.
This is the map of each field: what it means, and which document confirms it. None of these values are stated on this website.
| Field | How it is confirmed |
|---|---|
| Grade band | Selected by band and confirmed against the partner factory’s designation system. The exact designation appears on the quotation. |
| Particle-size characterisation | The method is stated on the partner factory’s current datasheet. Measured values are provided per batch where the partner makes them available. |
| Chemistry & purity | Stated on the partner factory’s current datasheet. Xintai does not test in-house and does not publish unverified values. |
| Surface condition | Confirmed against the datasheet and, where relevant, the sample evaluation you carry out on your own process. |
| Packaging | Specified per order and destination. Inner packaging, labelling and shipping marks are agreed before dispatch. |
| Documentation | The batch document set is coordinated with the manufacturing partner. Third-party inspection can be coordinated when required. |
02 No numeric particle-size, purity or tolerance figures appear on this page because they depend on the selected grade and partner factory. They are confirmed at quotation.
04 / Quality check
What we can check together.
Four practical steps between the first brief and a shipment. Each one is coordination, not a certification claim.
Sample evaluation
A sample can be coordinated through the partner factory so the powder can be tested in your own suspension and process.
Datasheet review
We review the partner factory’s current datasheet with you before quoting, including the characterisation method it states.
Batch documentation
The document set available for the batch is coordinated and confirmed before dispatch, not after the invoice.
Third-party inspection
Where you require independent verification, inspection can be coordinated. The scope, laboratory and cost are agreed first.
03 Coordination only. Xintai does not manufacture the material, operate an in-house laboratory or issue its own test certificates.

Next step
Send the finish target. We’ll match the band.
Application, substrate, process step, the finish you measure and the destination are enough to start. If you have a current grade or datasheet, include it.
