What this example configuration defines

The example combines three pieces of information: diamond grinding paste as the product form, W1.5 as the grade designation and an oil-soluble carrier as the carrier route. This is enough to start a focused enquiry about a prepared compound for a relevant finishing, lapping or polishing process.

Example grade configuration; final grade, tolerance and packaging confirmed at quotation.

The example does not state stock availability, a particle-size distribution, diamond content, a performance result or suitability for a particular machine. Those points require order-specific documents and, where appropriate, a sample evaluation.

What remains open until quotation

Configuration field Status in this example How it is closed
Product form Prepared diamond grinding paste. Confirm the exact product in the quotation.
Grade designation W1.5 shown as the example. Confirm against the selected partner factory’s designation system and current datasheet.
Carrier route Oil-soluble shown as the example. Confirm the current option and compatibility with the process and cleaning route.
Grade tolerance and characterisation Not stated. Use the manufacturing partner’s current datasheet and available batch documents.
Paste consistency and handling Not stated. Review against the applicator, process and handling information available from the partner.
Packaging and labelling Not fixed by the example. Specify per order, buyer requirement and destination.
Batch documents and dispatch Not fixed by the example. Agree the document set, paperwork and dispatch route before shipment.

When this example is a useful starting point

Use the example when you want to discuss a prepared paste in an oil-compatible process. Send the workpiece material, operation, current consumable, machine fluid, cleaning method and inspected result. Explain whether W1.5 is a grade you currently use or simply the example that prompted the enquiry.

If the process already uses a water-based route, or if oil residue creates a downstream problem, say so at the start. The carrier should be reviewed rather than retained by default. Xintai can coordinate an alternative proposal through a suitable partner factory when the brief requires it.

How the sample becomes an order specification

Where a sample is coordinated, record its exact configuration and the partner datasheet supplied with it. Evaluate it on your own process using your normal inspection method. Keep unrelated process changes visible so that the result can be interpreted.

If the sample is accepted, the order should identify the same configuration and note any agreed difference. Xintai coordinates this record with the manufacturing partner. Xintai does not issue its own material test certificates or claim the partner’s production and characterisation work as in-house activity.

What to confirm before ordering

  • Current availability of the proposed example or the alternative configuration.
  • Exact grade, tolerance and current partner-factory datasheet.
  • Oil-soluble carrier suitability, paste consistency and cleaning compatibility.
  • Sample identity and the relationship between sample and production supply.
  • Packaging, labels, batch documents and destination paperwork.
  • Price, order quantity, dispatch timing and any inspection scope agreed at quotation.

Sources and notes

This product note expands the example used in Xintai’s approved design brief. It is not a datasheet or a stock notice. No external source is cited and no numeric product data or process result is claimed. Current partner documentation governs the order-specific specification.
